An explicative and retrospective study of ten patients admitted at the Intensive Theray and traumatology wards of "Manuel Ascunce Domenech" Provincial Hospital with neurosurgical non-traumatic entities within the period form december 1998 to frebuary 2000 is presented. Patients were monitored their intracraneal pressure (ICP) continuosly in the post operatory period with the aim of showing potentialities of this type of neuromonitoring. Taking into account this affections were determined and complications that motivated the decision of their use were applied. The monitoring site was related with the patient disease and it was shown with the patient disease and it was shown with the case presentation of one of the assisted patients. Concluding, utility of the continuous monitoring of IPC in the neurosurgical postoperatory complicated is presented is presented. Criteria for selecting patients are proposed.
