Resumen

CARDOSO NAVARRO, Ignacio; RAMOS DIAZ, Melania J  y  SOCARRAS PAROLIS, Eduardo. Prosthetic rehabilitation in patients implanted with hydroxyapatite for presenting atrophic alveolar ridges. AMC [online]. 2001, vol.5, n.3. ISSN 1025-0255.

Prosthetic rehabilitation was evaluated in total edentulores patiens younger than 75 years implants of porous "Carolina" HAP-200 Hydroxyapatite in atrophic alveolar rigdes. Dimensional changes of the treated 3,6, months postintallation of prosthectic apparatuses were determined. Initial and final gin of portadenture area were compared . A descriptive, longitudinal and prospective study was performed in Camagüey from 1996 to 1999. The study universe was composed of superior and inferior total endentulous who attendet to the consultation of prosthesis; the sample comprised 11 first patients with inferior alveolar atrophy. A preoperatory stage established , oned post operatory rehabilitating and the other one for testing. Measurements of initial, gained were devoloped. Results show show that at three months , greater variations of the portadentadure area ocurred . Difference among initial and final gain was 208, 73 mm.
