Camaguey is one of the greatest province in territorial extension and number of inhabitants of our country, thus,its influence is significant in the national context. So we decided to carry aout a comparison among incidence results and cancer mortality in Camaguey with national results, either in the total or in the five primary localizations: lung , breast, cervix, prostate and colon for which the avaibable information collected in the National and Provincial Register and also in the Unit for analysis and Tendency of with the aim of performing a cross-sectonial , descriptive study grouping the mortalyti data from 1984 to 1995, 1976 1995 and 1982-1995 for localization. Our province always had an incidence rate over standard a national level in the masculine sex and slight oscillating in the femenine. In mortality, according to standard rate there are higher results in our province in booth sexes but with some oscillations. Comparing the studied locazation it is observed that prostated and cervix cancers kept increasing above standard rate.
