The problem of the relationship of the biological and social factors has and extraordinary relevancein the scientific world. So, a review of the topic was carried out with the aim of deepening in it, determining the influence of social factors in the individual and indentifying the application of the concepts in odontology. Some philosophycal concepts were stated. biological evolution of man towards society, the approach of him as a biosyhosocial being, the influence of biological, social and psychological factors in man were explained, and the application of these concepts was manifested in the discipline social Odontology, in which these knwoledges are integrated, and students are educated in a social and scientific conception of Odontology. Concluding, there is a close relationship among biological and social factors; the social environment affects the individual and social Odontology intensifies this relationship.
