A descriptive, cross-sectional study was carried out to know the results of the infant -juvenile gynecology consultation in Cespedes municipality , from january to december 1999. The study universe was composed of 77 patientes assisted among ages 0-19 years. The 40, 2 % of patients was that of infants (0-10 years) and 59, 8 % to adolescents (11-19). Among the reasons for consultation, vulvovaginitis 56, 3 % and contraceptive counseling 14, 4 % are stressed as the two main reasons; the most frequent germs are oxyurus, monilias and trichomonas . Low infections of the genital tract were the main reasons for consultation, gynecological case of the ages of life, as well as in the community medicine development.
