Medical records of 252 patients admitted with diagnosis of thorax trauma in the traumatology ward at Manuel Ascunce Domenech of Camagüey from 1996 to 1999, including both years, were reviewed with the aim of knowing the behavior and therapeutical management of this entity. It is taken into account the production way effectiveness of peridural analgesia, as well as complications that presented in those patients. A review of bibliography available, comparing it with our results is carried out.
