Cryptosporidium parvum is a protozoan belonging to Phylum apicomplexa, that has been reported in animals. In the mids of 70' patients began to appear in man with a progressive increase of diarrheic episodies, mainly in the infant population. We carried out this work with the aim of showing an outburst of Cryptosporidiosis in 10 children of second and third years of life from América Latina Childday Care Center, of Camagüey municipalitiy, during march 1999. Variables of sex, race, and positiveness of diagnosis of this parasitosis with the use of direct exam staining of Ziehl-Neelsen modified, which were performed in the Parasitology Section of Hygiene Epidemiology and Microbiology Center of Camagüey. The 80 % of cases with Crystosporidiosis were detected in the age group from one to two years; 90 % of children belong to white race, there were no differences in relation to sex laboratory exams practiced, gave 100 % of positiveness. Food manipulators were negative to coprologic exams fulfilled.
