Abstract

A cross sectional, descriptive study was vision out in galucomatosis patients with low visión who attended to the Ophthalmology service at " Manuel Ascunce Domenech" Provincial Hospital within the period from january 1999 to june 2002. The sample consisted in 15 patients; the age group of from 70 to 79 years; masculine sex and black skin prevailed. Reading -writing was the main objective that we proposed. Visual acuteness closely in the exmination of all was under 0,3 (the higher number among 0,063 to 0,125). When rehabilitating 10 rigth eges and 11 left eges, they reached a visual acuteness of 0,4 or more, 11 patients rehabilitated according to the objective stated.
