Abstract

Two cases of pelagra studied in 2001, in two men, of 40 and 47 years old; alcoholism resulted in a commun factor to both. Skin lesions located in charasteristic zones (had dorsum and forearms, ankles and feet dorsum) increased their intensity and symptomatology parallely at the insolation intensity, one of the cases presentedn diarrheic symptoms and both showed neurologic affectation. In the both cases, lesions resolved suppling a dist with nicotinic acid and a vitaminic complex (multivit), together with photoprotection and emollientes. We are considering a new type of patient, pellagra isn't anymore a marker of misery and margination of other epoch to become and alcoholim marker.
