Abstract

PILA PEREZ, Rafael et al. Primary mesotelioma of perito neumas a cause fever of unknown origin. AMC [online]. 2003, vol.7, n.1, pp.109-116. ISSN 1025-0255.

A female patient of 40 years old is presented with a primary mesothelioma of peritoneum, which appeared for the first time as an unknow origin fever syndrome. The relationship of this tumor with the asbestos, family history and the risk of suffering cancer, mainly in the digestive tract is commented. Habitual symptomatology, diagnosis and the pathoanatomic study are stressed. Main methastasis and therapeutics of this tumor are stated. We conclude that this caase is the first presented in our contry as a fever syndrome of unknown origin.
