A clinical, phase II, center, controled ramdomized, simple blind eassy was carried out at " Julio Antonio Mella" Teaching Policlinic from April 2001, with the aim of showing the effectiveness of treatment with 10 % propolis for acute cervicitis , the sample was divided into two groups (study and control) each with 35 cases. The study group received treatment with propolis and the control one received lugol solution . Vaginal local cures were applied during seven to ten days consecutively. In the study group pain disappeared in all patients on day seventh (P=7.384E=09), 33 remitted the signs, monilia and trichomona were germs more associated to the disease Both treatments were affective for Monilia, but the velocity of propolis was it is concluded that propolis is effective because it cured a great number of patients in a short time.
