Abstract

The nursing labor constitutes a fundamental aspect for reaching determinate levels of health wellbeing. A descriptive longitudinal study was carried out with the aim of evaluating personal preparation for the application of nursing care process in "Mario Muñoz Monroy "area of Vertientes municipality Camagüey Province 2001. Out of a universe of 28 nurses who work in the area corresponding to GBT 2, a sample of 14 was randomly selected, which represented the 50 %. It was designed a model of survey to collect the information about the theoretical knowledge aspects of the process such as: basic aspects of evaluation, stips of the intervention stage, expectation characteristics and summary notes. Also, it was designed a formulary with variables such as quality of diagnosis, expectations and care plans, which was enriched trough primary sources of data as the retrospective auditories which evaluate the practical application of the scientific physician. Main results showed 50 % of nurses with more than 10 years of professional experience; 57 % with sufficient theoretical knowledge and 36 % with difficulties. The 92 % of diagnoses correctly formulated; 85. 7 % of feasible expectations and 78.5 % of specific care plans and with the use of alternatives.
