Twelve patients with smooth muscle tumors of the small bowell within a period of 10 years Manuel Ascune Domenech and Amalia Simoni Provincial Hospitals of Camagüey city, are presented. Age, sex, skin and other clinical and diagnostic aspects were analyzed. Among them, the importance of the barium intestinal transit and exploring laprarotomy are stressed. It is shown the necessity of arteriography for diagnosing and we emphasize on the importance of Ranchod and col´s criteria as well as on the histologic study due to filiation difficulties of them. The treatment is surgical and in all cases is aggressive and of prolonged follow-up.
