It is described a case abdominal compartment syndrome in a patient with polycystic kidney who complicated with the appearance of inintracystic renal abscesses, and developed a shock syndrome that was reversible after the right nephrectomy with the corresponding intraabdominal decompression. The diagnosis of this syndrome was carried out with the association of clinical elements and measurement in indirect way of the intrabdominal pressure. The patient favorably evolved, he was discharged from the Intensive Care Unit at the fourth day of postoperatory.
