Abstract
FERIA TELLEZ, Lérisys and PRADO CHANG, Yadira. Efectiveness of acunpucture in patients with acute sacrolumbalgia emergency : Policlinic Florida, 2001. AMC [online]. 2004, vol.8, n.4, pp.35-45. ISSN 1025-0255.
An explicative, longitudinal and prospective study was performed so as to determine the effectiveness of acupunctural treatment in patients who attended to Martha Elvira González González Emergency Policlinic of Florida affected by acute sacrolumbalgia during the year 2001. The universe was composed of 40 patients; the sample was represented by 100 % of the universe. Data were collected from a survey designed for this purpose which groups the following variables age and sex, anterior treatment, adverse effects, frequency of treatment and effectiveness. Such the therapeutic was greatly applied to masculine sex, 24 cases for 60 %, 32 patients who had received treatment, previous figure that represented the 80 %, there were not adverse reactions in 36 out of patients treated, representing the 90 %, it was achieved the total improvement of 32 patients after 5 to 10 sessions off treatment which represented the 80 %.
