A bibliographic review and updating on knee osteoarthrosis specially in the pathophysiology of the normal and pathologic cartilage as well as its consequences, was carried out. It was deepen also in the classifications most used for it, as well as its interrelationship and compatibility. From the diagnostic point of view, it was deepen in the clinical and radiologic exam.
