Mouth disorders in two primary healthcare areas elderly patients with total denture. A descriptive study was conducted at Doctor Offices 1, 2, 38, and 40 of the northern and western areas of the Municipality of Camagüey from February 2002 to March 2003. Out of the 159 patients being selected for the study, 85 showed some kind of a lesion. That is approximately half the patients showed oral mucosal disorders, mostly of the palate and of the alveolar rim. The present research was conducted whit the objective of describing mouth disorders in rehabilitated elders with total acrylic dentures. Female patients aged 60-69 prevailed, whereas inflammatory lesions prevailed in rehabilitated patients who had worn a faulty denture for over 21 years.
