A descriptive study with the purpose to identify the main glaucoma’s risk factors was carried out in blind patients caused by the said illness, affiliated with Blinds´ National Association (ANCI) of Camagüey, was performed. Seventy patients, older than 16 years old with this characteristics were studied, who visited the consultation at Manuel Ascunce Domenech Clinical Surgical Teaching Hospital, from March 2002 to March 2004. Majority of the studied patients were over the 60 years, white and male sex. High blood pressure as the main personal pathological antecedent and family history of glaucoma predominated.
