^les^aSe realizó un estudio transversal para estimar la proporción en una población finita y las características de las mujeres con riesgo reproductivo preconcepcional en el policlínico comunitario docente Dr. Carlos J Finlay del municipio Camagüey, desde octubre de 2002 hasta abril de 2004. De un universo de 4372 pacientes en edad fértil, se obtuvo una muestra de 187 (error absoluto 5 %, frecuencia del factor 15 %, confiabilidad 95 %); por muestreo bietápico fueron seleccionadas las personas de los registros dispensariales oficiales de la atención primaria de salud. El 58, 29 % de las mujeres trabajaban, el 27, 81 % tenían 35 años y más. Las madres solteras y malnutridas representaron el 22, 46 % y 17, 65 % respectivamente. El 9, 09 % de las mujeres con riesgo reproductivo preconcepcional tuvieron uno o más abortos del segundo trimestre, el 6, 95 % neonatos con bajo peso al nacer en embarazos anteriores, mientras que dos de ellas reportaron malformaciones congénitas (1, 07 %) en sus descendencias; el 8 % de las mismas fueron portadoras de una infección urinaria. También se encontraron las proporciones para anemia ferropénica (3, 74 %), asma bronquial (2 %) y cardiopatías (2, 14 %). Se estudiaron las variables: mujeres trabajadoras, añosas, fumadoras, con ingreso percápita bajo, solteras, malnutridas por defecto y nivel escolar primario; así como, las que tuvieron abortos del segundo trimestre y nacimientos anteriores con bajo peso, las cuales se reconocieron como factores locales de riesgo reproductivo preconcepcional; la infección urinaria y la anemia ferropénica se consideraron de igual modo.^len^aA cross-sectional study in a finite population was carried out to estimate the proportion of women characteristics with preconceptional reproductive risk at Teaching Community Polyclinic Dr. Carlos J Finlay of Camagüey municipality from October 2002 to April 2004. Of a universe of 4372 persons in fertile age a sample of 187, was obtained (absolute error 5 %, frequency of the factor 15 %, reliability (95 %); by two-stage sampling were selected the persons from the official records of the primary health care. Data were processed using MICROSTAT and EPIDAT methods. The (58, 29 %) of the women worked, (27, 81%) were comprised in the age groups of 35 years and over. Single and malnourished mothers represented the 22, 46 % and 17, 65 % respectively. The 9, 09 % of the women with preconceptional reproductive risk had one or more abortions of the second quarter; the 6, 95 % neonates with low birth weight in previous pregnancies, while two of them showed congenital malformations (1, 07 %) in their offspring, the 8 % of them were carriers of an urinary infection. Also were found the proportion to: iron deficiency anemia (3, 74 %), bronchial asthma (2 %) and heart diseases (2,14 %). The studied variables were: worker women, aged and smoker women, with low incomes, singles and malnourished by defect and with primary school level, such as the ones that had abortions of the second quarter and previous births with low weight, were recognized as local factors of preconceptional reproductive risk, at the same way the urinary infection and the iron deficiency anemia.
