A descriptive observational study to know the results of the treatment with the equinetherapy in disabled children that were attended to the equinetherapy center of Camagüey province was carried out, from September 2004 to June 2005. The universe was constituted by 30 children that were attended at the therapeutic area. A survey to their mothers was applied, which was used as the primary register. Results were processed by a computer. Female sex predominated with 53, 3 %, and the age group of 6 to 8 years with 33, 3 %, the 66,6% had perinatal antecedents, hypoxia was the most relevant with a 30 %. Children with Down’s Syndromes and epileptics prevailed with a 23, 3 %, the 83, 3 % presented mixed disabilities and the 96, 6 % showed ameliorations with the treatment, in the security a 93, 3% and in the mobility an 83, 3 %. It was concluded that the majority of children showed improvements with the treatment.
