Resumen

A case of a white, male, 66-years-old patient is presented, with antecedents of chronic gastroduodenitis, had symptomatic medical treatment and periodic follow-up by his health area, he came to the general surgery office and referred that approximately 20 days ago was suffering epigastric pain, moderate acidity, pyrosis and great difficulty when consuming solid food, the pain was irritated with physical efforts and prolonged standing stays, it radiated to the left side and to the lower edge of the scapula, felt relief when adopted the fetal position; entered at surgery room and it were carried out studies to him. The endoscopy reported narrowing of the lower third of the esophagus, it was shown stenosis of extrinsic cause, in the contrasted x-ray of esophagus a great tumor that compresses the esophagus was observed, in the Computerized Axial Tomography a hypodense tumor with calcifications in its wall, in intimate contact and relation with the aorta descendens that produced compression on the esophagus and displacement of the neighbouring structures, the presence of an aneurysm of the aorta thoracica descendens, was diagnosed.
