A revision about the advantages and limitations of the intraocular lenses (IOL) in the cataract surgery in children, was performed. Optical advantages of (IOL) for the correction of the aphakia, were presented, the parameters to consider for the calculation of the dioptric value of the (IOL), the possible ocular complications that can be derive from its employment and thesurgical techniques for the management of the posterior capsule utilized by different researches in hospital centers dedicated to the surgery of the infantile cataract.
