A case of a white, 78 years-old man is presented, inveterate smoker, with a personnel pathological history of leukoplasia of the lower lip as well as being in protracted exposure to ultraviolet radiation, developed an infiltranting epidermoid carcinoma of the lower lip with ganglionic regional metastasis. We expose the etiogenic and clinicopathologic aspects that are described of this type of cutaneous cancer in light of the current knowle dge, as well as its treatment, prognosis and follow-up.
