^les^aFundamento: las acciones educativas se realizan en todas las unidades del sistema nacional de salud y el estomatólogo del futuro debe enfatizar en las medidas preventivas de cobertura significativa, impulsoras de recuperación de las partes del cuerpo humano enfermas. Objetivo: determinar la eficacia de un plegable educativo propuesto para el auto cuidado del Síndrome Dolor-Disfunción del aparato temporomandibular. Método: se realizó un estudio de intervención clínico-longitudinal-prospectivo a 60 pacientes aquejados por el Síndrome Dolor-Disfunción del aparato temporomandibular. Resultados: los pacientes con la afección leve no presentaron signos al final de estudio, predominaron síntomas como la fatiga muscular, dolor, disminuyó la gama sintomatológica del síndrome. Conclusiones: el plegable fue efectivo para el auto cuidado del Síndrome Dolor-Disfunción del aparato temporomandibular.^len^aBackground: educational actions are carried out in all the units of the health national system and the stomatologist of the future should emphasize in the preventive measures of significant covering, promoters of recovery of the parts of the sick human body. Objective: to determine the educational effectiveness of a folding proposed for self-care of the temporomandibular apparatus pain-dysfunction syndrome. Method: a longitudinal, prospective investigation to 60 patients suffered by the temporomandibular apparatus pain-dysfunction syndrome. Results: patients with light affection didn't present signs at the end of the study, symptoms like the muscular fatigue prevailed, pain, symptomatological range of the syndrome diminished. Conclusions: the folding was effective for the self-care of the temporomandibular apparatus pain-dysfunction syndrome.
