Abstract

Background: the knee and their lesions, the surgery, their recovery and the sequels it may share, constitute some of the most exciting topics in the world of traumatoloy. Clinical case: a patient with lesion of the anterior cruciate ligament and medial lateral of the knee, after having suffered traumatism of high energy value is reported. When using Hey Groves´ technique is demonstrated the validity of this type of surgery for the restoration of this combined lesion. In spite of being pioneer in the repairer surgery of the ligamentous lesions of the knee, it constitutes for many orthopedic of first line, taking into account several factors, as the incipient development of the arthroscopic surgery in some countries, lack of unanimity as for the election of the suitable graft and in turn of a definitive technique. Results: results were excellent in a two years period, it was achieved the reincorporation of the patient to all socio-occupational activities.
