Abstract

Introduction: since the specialty is studied until it is professionally exercised and as educational a deficit is stated in knowledge and skills that should have the new graduates that work linked to Sports Medicine and its related specialties, such as Sports Psychology and Physical Culture. Development: physical-sports activity is a very demanding means; it requires being updated, to improve, learning with each intervention and in each opportunity. The staff that works linked to sports, doctors, physiotherapists, trainers and athletes must respond successfully to this expectation, being the first step contributing to create a documentary base, to which may access without difficulty to deepen on the essential aspects for professionals formation in this branch. A bibliographic revision, compiling common themes that refer to the study of manifestations, development and transformation of psychological aspects that respond to the sports activity requirements, characterizing each sports group as regards psychological resources they require, conceptualizing and defining the different preparations sportsmen cross over and the role in each of them the psychologist must plays, providing the necessary tools to practitioners and trainers to endow them with abilities which may allow acquiring the sports mastery. Conclusions: there are contents that must be included both pre and postgraduate syllabus to offer to the future professionals, resources, procedures and psychological tools required to their labor performance.
