Abstract

Background: meningiomas are tumors originated from arachnoidal membranes. Its intraventricular location is uncommon especially the originated in the right ventricular trigone. Objective: to report a case of atypical localization of intracranial meningioma. Case report: a female patient of 68-year old with history of focal brain crisis and headache of a month of evolution. Nuclear magnetic resonance studies show a lesion in the right trigone. Direct surgical approach and total exeresis was carried out. The pathological result showed a fibroblastic meningioma. Conclusions: the surgical approach and exeresis of intraventricular meningioma may be carried out successfully with no significant complications.
