Background: a good way to treat high blood pressure is auricular therapy. Hypertension is the most common and expensive chronic disease that affect the humanity. Objective: the author’s aim was evaluate the auriculars therapy effectiveness in primary adult’s high blood pressure. Methods: a therapeutical intervention was carried out in Military Hospital Dr. Octavio de la Concepción y de la Pedraja. The universe was 58 patients, the selected sample was conformed for two groups of 84 patients, the first group received auricular therapy and the other was treated with conventional therapy. Results: the results were presented in tables. Hypertension was most frequent in males between 50-59 years old with appropriate respond to auriculotherapy. High cholesterol and anxiety accounted for higher incidence in personal history. The liver was de organ most frequently affected according to traditional diagnostic. There were significance differences in blood pressure control between booth treatments. Auriculotherapy shows better results in short time. Conclusion: the combination between auricular therapy and pills result more effective than conventional treatment.
