Abstract

VEGA DE LA CRUZ, Leudis; HERRERA GONZALEZ, Yisel; GONZALEZ REYES, Lisandra de la Luz  and  CANTERO CORA, Hidelvis. Building futures in a Cuban hospital. AMC [online]. 2017, vol.21, n.3, pp.348-360. ISSN 1025-0255.

Background: the Cuban social system foresaw the close relationship between the economy and social effects, thus conceiving the development process from the simultaneous treatment of economic and social problems. Objective: to build futures in a Cuban hospital out of the possible tendencies and events that determine to establish strategies and policies more suitable for emerging settings. Methods: prospective analysis was used through the prospective probabilistic direct model. Results: the annual variation of tendencies, the future scenarios in achieving adequate challenges and a relevant learning in the institution, allowing guiding strategies for its conservation in society and its improvement. Conclusions: it was determined that the institution should guide its strategies to raise efficiency in internal control, the competences and satisfaction of its workers in order to mitigate the effects of the tendencies found.
