Abstract

Trials on sexual and asexual replication of Pimenta dioica (L.) Merril were performed as well as considerations on phenology and development. Seed replication is possible, but theses ones must to be sowed immediately after harvesting of mature fruits in the plant, since germination is lost in less than 30 days. Final transplantation, according to field condition, it is possible to perform 6 months after the second tranaplantation to bags, i.e., to 18 or 19 months after germination. Vegetative replication trials performed failed. Reproductive period of this species goes from March up to August.
