Resumen
GRACIA MILIAN, Ana Julia; MARTINEZ TORRES, María del Carmen y MORON RODRIGUEZ, Francisco. Actividad antiespasmódica de extractos de Piper auritum en intestino. Rev Cubana Plant Med [online]. 2001, vol.6, n.1, pp. 19-22. ISSN 1028-4796.
To validate the spasmolitic activity of P. auritum H.B.K. in the intestine, extracts at 45 % and 80 % were prepared and evaluated in a jejunum spontaneous motility model isolated from rabbit at concentrations of 0,48; 0,7275 and 0,97 mg/mL for the extract 45 %, and of 0,0699; 0,01398 and 0,2097 mg/mL for that at 80 % against different spasmogens (BaCl 200, acetylcholine 0,06 and histamine 0,05 mg/10-3/mL) in guinea pig ileum with similar values. Papaverine was used with concentrations of 0,0033; 0,0066 and 0,013 mg/mL. We used an in vivo model to measure the activity on intestinal transit at doses of 500, 1000 and 1 500 for the extract 45 %, of 10, 40 and 80 with papaverine and of 0,5; 1 and 1,5 mg/mL for atropine. With the results obtained it is possible to state that this plant has a spasmolitic action on the intestine.
