Resumen

Efectos alelopáticos de restos de diferentes especies de plantas medicinales sobre la albahaca (Ocimum basilicum L.) en condiciones de laboratorio. Rev Cubana Plant Med [online]. 2002, vol.7, n.2. ISSN 1028-4796.

In order to evaluate the possible allelopathic effects of medicinal plant residues on seeds of Ocimum basilicum L. that will be grown together with this species under field conditions, a completely randomized experiment was designed. It was repeated 3 times in the tissues culture laboratory of "Dr. Juan Tomás Roig" Experimental Station of Medicinal Plants of the Drug Research and Development Center (CIDEM, in Spanish), Havana City, Cuba. It was observed that the germination process was influenced by the residues of the evaluated species: Ocimum basilicum L, Aloe vera L. N. Burn, Matricaria recutita L., Calendula officinalis L., and Plecthranthus amboinicus L. Aloe vera L. N. Burn and Callendula officinalis had more positive effects.
