The risk is derived from the manipulation or exposure to pathogens that results in infection of exposed personnel with or without manifestation of the disease, it can be said that biological safety is the state of working conditions where there is no possibility of infection of laboratory personnel, of damage to the community and the environment. A research work was carried out with the objective of applying an educational program on biosafety in the Microbiology laboratories of the Bayamo municipality. A survey was applied before and after the training through the educational program to 100% of the workers of the Microbiology laboratories. The results allowed identifying and correcting problems and difficulties that affect worker protection, as well as biological safety. The perception of risk in exposure and manipulation of pathogens was raised.
