A literature search was carried out on the bonds of biochemistry with primary health care to analyze the contributions of this science to some sanitary programs which are implemented in the community, as well as to relate them with the biochemical determinations and their values for the prevention, diagnosis, prognosis and clinical course of diseases included in these programs, and also aimed at the clinical follow-up and rehabilitation of affected people.
