Abstract

A descriptive, longitudinal and retrospective study was carried out in the 25 children, between 8 and 11 years of age, registered in "Salvador Pascual Salcedo" Primary School, belonging to Mella health area, in Santiago de Cuba, from January to June, 2008, with the objective of determining cases of intrafamily infantile ill-treatment in these scholars, to whom a survey was applied, with the previous consent of the parents. It was obtained that the intrafamily infantile ill-treatment is a reality and it constitutes a health problem, with imperious necessity of care. Likewise it was suggested to educate the parents, relatives and the community in general, so that the children reach the level of life to which they have right.
