Information about acute coronary syndrome is updated, emphasizing its treatment: goals, general measures, medications, specific recommendations, as well as behaviour during hospital discharge (medical and individual) with modifications of the lifestyle: smoking cessation, loss of body weight, control of the blood pressure and saccharine diabetes; use of antiplatelet drugs, beta blockers and inhibitors of angiotensin converting enzyme; rehabilitation strategies and return to physical activity.
