A descriptive and cross-sectional study of 300 aged belonging to a doctor's office from "Carlos Juan Finlay" health area from Santiago de Cuba Municipality was carried out during the 2011, in order to characterize victims of family abuse in this populational group. The statistical X² test and the percentage as summary measure for qualitative variables were used. In the series the female sex, aged with some degree of functional disability, psychological and financial abuse prevailed, while the relatives, especially the children, were the main perpetrator of the facts.
