An educational intervention was carried out in 150 workers (doctors, nurses and students) belonging to "José Martí Pérez" University Polyclinic in Santiago de Cuba, from May to December, 2010, in order to modify their knowledge on HIV/aids. McNemar test was applied and the percentage was used as summary measure. The educational actions were very effective, because it was possible to elevate the level of knowledge on the topic, reason why it is recommended to extrapolate this program to other health areas of the territory.
