The most current information on the main clinical and therapeutic data on one of the most frequent breast diseases in Cuba is briefly communicated, with the objective of contributing to improve the knowledge of professionals, given the experience acquired by the author in the Mastology Department of "Saturnino Lora Torres" Teaching Provincial Clinical Surgical Hospital in Santiago de Cuba during his 25 years of work
