A quantiqualitative investigation in the General Comprehensive Medicine Chair of "Dr. Joaquín Castillo Duany" Teaching Provincial Hospital in Santiago de Cuba was carried out, with the purpose of designing an internal system in order to evaluate the quality of the teaching management process in this specialization, and in this way to determine the impact of the strategic planning implemented for the academic course 2014-2015. The result was that the strategic planning impact was appropriate, since the maximum score was achieved in most of the indicators and the general qualification was 85 points. This allowed to interpret that the proposed objectives are completed, but with the existence of threats and weaknesses that limit the obtaining of the results expected in the performance and optimization of human resources. It could be concluded that the practical evaluation offered to teaching personnel and managers the possibility to value the results, applied actions quality and relevance of the changes that take place in the specialization process
