Medicine increases its social approach continually, in which the family, as fundamental cell of the society, is an essential work object for the health team, because it possesses an important incidence in the development of the health-disease process. However, the social determining factors in health indicate the existence of health inequities, that is to say, the existance of unfair and avoidable differences observed in this environment. To such effects, some aspects related to the impact of these determining factors are exposed in the performance of the Cuban family and its health
