Introduction: the communication and information technologies impose in a quick way the technical scientific development in almost all the branches of knowledge, constituting a valuable tool for the development of the teaching learning process. Objective: to elaborate a digital didactic material to favor the Superior Mathematics I subject learning in students of Health Administration and Economy in Health specialty, at Lidia Dolce Sanchez Faculty of Medical Sciences in Mayarí municipality. Methods: a study on technological development in Health Administration and Economy specialty from September 2010 to January 2011 was carried out. Methods such as observation, surveys and class controls were used. It used a sample of 50 students that worked with the digital teaching material.   Results: motivation and learning index improve comparing with the previous stages. When applying the user criterion method to students and teachers, the following results were showed: 98% (49) students considered the elaboration of the material was useful; 90% (45) considered that the contents were focused on the subject program requirement, and 90% of them (45) considered that the material´s quality was very good. Conclusions:  the authors confirmed that the digital didactic material was a useful tool for the teaching- learning process and for achieving the students´ and teachers´ motivation
