At Present  times , Cuban society  faces the technological  tendency at  the  informatics  field  , through the process of social  informatization that  tries to socialize different health themes . In this challenge , all the social-economic sectors and the Cuban public health are involved .By creating  this web page on tropical medicine (http://www.hlg.sld.cu/medicina-tropical) the preparation of health forces and the strategy  of social communication for facing epidemics  are both accomplished. This web page offers: news services with updated information on different diseases, updated reports about international epidemiologic situation. It presents sections like,    bibliography, tropical diseases, contacts and link services with IPK, UVS, BUS, UCM institutions.  With the intensive use of technology and network, a way to integrate contents, develop skills and encourage a progressive strategy on the teaching-learning process was obtained, and keeps self -preparation of the public health   workers. On the other size, they also enable to get a graduate with a wide profile on scientific information, researches and updated  themes in favour of a better performance in the activities of health. Another novel aspect is its integration to the strategy of development of the national health system in the field of the informatics and the universalization of higher education.
