The subject Integral General Medicine is taught in the first year of the medical career, its aim involves the training of physicians to conduct educational activities in the office, home and community, to use the oral expression as a fundamental instrument to interact with patients and families. An exploratory study was conducted, which included class visits and activities of Education at Work, as well as interviews for teachers and surveys for students, whose results showed insufficient development regarding oral expression. Propose communicative tasks to develop oral expression in future doctors from the Integral General Medicine subject was the objective of this research. The students had difficulties in oral expression that hinder the communication process in the relationship with patients and families. Communicative tasks proposed contribute to the preparation of teachers for vocabulary contextualized in the Integral General Medicine subject to improve the teaching - learning process with a communicative approach, that fosters the  oral expression in the students to promote their active role in this process.
