Introduction: on the global stage, statistical shortcomings persist in the training of health professionals, particularly among physicians, who have clear limitations to act in situations that demand the application of statistical knowledge. Objective: identify the most prominent information resources for the teaching of Biostatistics discipline in medical or related sciences with free and open access or by subscription for Infomed users. Methods: collections of books and journals, databases and other information resources available on the Internet were examined and selected those with recognized academic background and subscription-free or available through Infomed. The resources were classified according to predetermined categories, their Internet address and a brief comment on its content and relevance was added. Results: 16 books, book chapters and manuals with free and open access, 26 books and book chapters acquired by subscription, five titles of journals with free and open access and four subscription access and nine notes of courses and others free and free resources were identified, a total of 60 specialized information resources on the subject, of which 40 with free, perpetual access free or by subscription. Conclusions: an inventory of sources of information authorized for teaching Biostatistics available through Infomed guides and greatly facilitates the use of high-interest resources in an area where abundant academic knowledge and professional shortcomings persist.
