Resumen
MARANON CARDONNE, Tatiana et al. Cervical Cancer Prevention and Control. ccm [online]. 2017, vol.21, n.1, pp. 187-203. ISSN 1560-4381.
The possibility that offers the location and frequency of cervical cancer has allowed its comprehensive study but it is still a health problem. Therefore, this literature review was conducted in PubMed, EBSCO and Scielo databases, using the descriptors: cervical neoplasia, cervical cancer, uterine cervical neoplasms. Infection by the human papilloma virus is the etiologic factor considered in cervical cancer and it is closely related to sexual behavior. This can be controlled if detected early. When considering risk factors, it is useful to focus primarily on those that can be changed or avoided. However, the knowledge of the risk factors that can not be changed is still relevant because it can help sensitize women who present it, about the importance of the test for early detection of this disease.
