Introduction: the integrity of dental tissues is many times affected by dental alveolar traumatisms, which are the second cause of odontho-pediatric care. Dental traumatisms are maybe one of the most dramatic accidents that happen to an individual, and its frequency in the odontology clinic increases everyday day. Objective: to determine the level of knowledge in parents and educators on what behavior follow while facing dental alveolar traumatisms at Sonrisas del futuro day care center. Methods: a cross-sectional descriptive observational study was carried out. The universe comprised 157 parents and educators of the day care center. A sample of 46 people was selected through a simple random sampling. A survey was applied considering the variables in to study. Results: the investigation showed that 52% of those interviewed presented a regular level of knowledge; 41.3% of those from 15 to 25 years old had a mild level of knowledge and 17.4% of those that had high school education presented a good level of knowledge. The study proved that 67.4% of them had an insufficient knowledge on what to do to face a dental avulsion. Conclusions: the level of knowledge on what behavior to follow while facing dental alveolar traumatisms was mainly mild.
