Resumen
RAMOS HERNANDEZ, Ricardo Ulises y ALONSO FERNANDEZ, Consuelo Tatiana. Use of ultrasonography in some thyroid diseases. Rev Cubana Endocrinol [online]. 2012, vol.23, n.3, pp.242-245. ISSN 1561-2953.
Ultrasonography is the first diagnostic modality through imaging that is used in the study of thyroid diseases, and some of the advantages include being a cheap, non-invasive method and a guide for biopsy. Certain ultrasonographic features are significantly more frequent in malignant than in benign nodules. With the objective of creating a standard of the ultrasonographic lesions and the correlation with malignancy, the American College of Radiology has developed the system of thyroid image data and reporting.
