A historical review on the analysis of the health situation which constitutes the essential element of the present work was performed as a part of an educational investigation. The content of this paper covers the analysis made from the colonial times to the present times in a brief summary and placing emphasis on the moments of greatest development regarding the utilization of health situation analysis in an effort to provide useful information for the ones intesrested in this subject.
