It is proposed to use the MapInfo software as a Gegraphical Information System (GIS) due to the benefits it offers to know the spatial distribution and to develop the analysis of some infectious diseases in "Centro Habana" municipality, in Havana City, that presents a complex environmental situation. The incidences of tuberculosis, leptospirosis, syphilis and hepatitis are selected. Different thematic maps and graphs are included in this paper, and it is proved the great usefulness and importance of this GIS in the representation and analysis of the health data to locate the areas at higher risk and to suggest the strategies to reduce or erradicate them.
